How to update your Aadhaar photo
You can update your Aadhaar photo at an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre (offline) or via the myAadhaar portal (online, for face authentication). Online updates accept JPEG files under 200 KB.
Photo requirements
For online update: JPEG under 200 KB, minimum 10 KB. For centre update: a printed passport-size photo with a white background is sufficient. The operator will scan it.
Face authentication
The myAadhaar portal uses live face authentication — no photo upload is needed. Simply log in, complete face match via the app, and the photo is updated automatically.
How often can you update?
Aadhaar photo can be updated once every 10 years. The update costs Rs 100 at an enrolment centre. Online face-authentication-based update is free.
